South African Business Permits For Non South Africans

Now that you have made the decision to either open or buy a business in South Africa and immigrate here through a South African Business Permit. Good choice!

South Africa is going through a very exciting stage at the moment and there is lots of opportunities to be involved in this emerging economy. Especially for small business owners, the markets are extremely lucrative and the South African Government welcomes anyone who wants to invest. 
The conditions for a South African Business Permit are as follows:
1) Employ 5 South Africans
2) Invest R2.5m ( Capitalisation can be reduced to R100 000 if needs be and our RSA based immigration lawyer will facilitate this process for you)

Once your South African Business Permit is approved (this takes aproximately 40 days ) you are elligible to apply for Permanent Residence which will take 16 months (there is a backlog) to process. Your South African business visa will then act as a bridging visa for your Permanent Res. Under the business permit category, you will also be able to bring over your family and they too will also be able to apply for Permanent Residence.

  1.            Passport ( Vaild for no less than 30 days of the intended visit )
  2.           Medical and Radiological Reports
  3.           Marriage Certificates
  4.            Police Clearances
  5.        CA Certificate
  6.        Business Plan
  7.        Undertaking to employ 5 South Africans
  8.        Undertaking to register the business with
    SARS ( SA Revenue Service )
  9.       Partnership Agreements ( If applicable )
  10.         Application form
  11.       Power of Attorney
  12.       Birth Certificate
    Categories listed as National Interest and entitled for Capital Waivers
    a)       Information and Communication technology
    b)       Clothing and textile manufacturing
    c)      Chemicals and bio-technology
    d)      Agro Processing
    e)       Metals and Minerals refinement
     f)      Automotive manufacturing
    g)       Tourism
    h)       Crafts

    The cost for the entire process is R12 000 and excludes government fees of R1 520. There will also be a surcharge of R5 000 per family member you bring over.
